Pictured is the unofficial carved marble Station of the Cross XV mounted on a small wooden crosses in the Mission of San Jose del Cabo Anuiti in Saint Joseph of the Cape in southern Baja California Sur state, Mexico. Although not traditionally part of the Stations, the Resurrection of Jesus is sometimes included as an unofficial fifteenth station. The right arm and left hand are broken from deterioration. The mission was built in 1730 by the Jesuit missionary Father Nicholas Tarmaral and the Spanish appointed official Jose Echeverria. The mission was dedicated to Saint Joseph, and was built on the site that the native pericues called Anuiti.
