Pictured are what looks like one enormous church that is actually two separtate buildings, the Ireja dos Carmelitas Descalcos built in 1628 for Carmelite nuns, and the Ireja do Carmo built in 1752 for Carmelite monks. An almost hidden 3-foot-wide house separates the two structures, the most narrow house in Porto.
