Designed in part by Cirque du Soleil and built by Canadian firm, SNC-Lavalin Inc, the Canada Pavilion is meant to interpret Canada's theme The Living City: inclusive, sustainable, creative and will feature live shows by the world-famous acrobatic theatre troupe. The building’s exterior features a wood-clad facade designed to harvest rainwater, and vegetation covers the walls inside the courtyard, which should help keep the temperature moderate.
