Stock Photo: Canada Goose Momma Laying By The Roanoke River With Her Chic Or Duckling Standing By Her Side

ID 246863635 © SINGINGOTTER | Megapixl.com

Newly hatched Canada Geese look much like ducklings. They have yellow and gray feathers and a dark bill. In a weeks time they grow to be rather awkward-looking, fuzzy gray birds. By nine to ten weeks old, they've grown their flight feathers and look like slightly smaller versions of the adult. A common site in the Spring on the Salem Greenway.
