Bucharest’s Old Town is a mix of history, local culture and life style, a trendy entertainment district and favorite hangout for the locals. What is known is that the first reign of Vlad the Impaler (1459-1462) there was a palace and a court (The Old Court Palace), and the town grew rapidly around the palace. By the middle of the 17th century the area was Bucharest merchant district.
