Pictured is a bronze statue of a fallen soldier and the Archangel Michael at the entrance to the Veteran`s Memorial Park in the city of Irving, Texas. The sculptor is famous American artist Paul Tadlock who completed all the sculptures in the park. The first phase of the park was completed in 2004 and the second phase in May 2009. The park honors the Irving residents who paid the ultimate price to protect the basic freedoms we hold dear. The Archangel Michael over time has come to represent a protector and the leader of the army of God against the forces of evil.
