TV actor and Broadway musical star with a rich baritone, Brian Stokes Mitchell receives the Isabelle Stephenson Award. He holds his well-earned precious statuette in the Winners Media Room at the JCC on Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street in Manhattan, a block from the Beacon Theatre, site of the 70th Annual Tony Awards on June 12, 2016. Mitchell and other Tony participants wore a ribbon for the event to demonstrate solidarity for and deepest sympathy for the victims and their families of the Orlando massacre which happened earlier in the day.
