Bradford Cathedral in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, is on a site used for Christian worship since the 8th century, when missionaries based in Dewsbury evangelised the area. Until 1919, it was the parish church of St Peter. Bradford as a city suffered badly in the recent recession however is coming back strongly having benefitted from substantial investment in retail and leisure facilities in the town centre. If you look up above the often unattractive shop facades, you will appreciate the splendid architecture of this city which was once at the heart of the wool trade and very prosperous.
