Barbara Walters, news and entertainment television personality and pioneer arrives, at the age of 82, fashionable elegant, and glowing, on the red carpet for Time's 100 Most Influential People Gala at the Time-Warner Center in Manhattan on April 24, 2012. Walters was a ground-breaking television personality, whose tv career spanned over 5 decades, into her mid-80s. In her final chapter, in 1997 she became the co-creator and co-producer of the long-running Emmy-winning popular and controversial daily talk show on the ABC-TV Network, 'The View,' which features an all-female panel. Walters died on December 30, 2022, at her Manhattan home, at the age of 93.
