This famous festival takes place every year in January in Chateau dOex, a small village in Switzerland. The first hot air balloon to circumnavigate the earth has taken off at Chateau-dOex on the 1 March 1999. So this is quite a big event for all hot air balloon fans. In the picture you see the balloon from one of the sponsors, Pierre Galley - Caibac from Switzerland besides a typical small Swiss chalet.
