People gather in front of the historic landmark buildings in Balboa Park, San Diego, California, an urban cultural park which was home to the 1915 Panama-California Exposition and the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition. The historic architectural landmarks of the Exposition buildings were declared a National Historic Landmark and National Historic Landmark District, and have been placed in the National Register of Historic Places.
