Pictured is a fresco depicting the Assumption of the Virgin on the southern wall of the Contrari Chapel in the Fortress of Vignola in Modena, Italy. At the top is detail of Christ carrying the virgin Mary to the sky and angels playing music. Also the Virgin Mary is dropping the girdle or Holy Belt to Saint Thomas. The frescos in the chapel were completed by the Master of Vignola, circa 1432.
