In the fall and spring of 2013/14 and in the fall and summer of 2021/22 Desert Botanical Garden hosted an exhibition of glass artist Dale Chihuly. The spots for his sculptures and installations were carefully selected to offer new perceptions of this desert environment. In the evenings the installations were illuminated or lit up, like these `Desert Neon`sculptures. Placed at such a prominent location - on the hill inside Desert Botanical Garden - they could be seen from many places of the garden.- Saguaro cacti in the enter and on the right; a palo verde tree on the left.
