Transhumanism is an ideology that wants to improve humanity, by bringing humans to a higher evolutionary stage or making them immortal by using science and technology. The two main strategies for achieving these goals are genetic enhancement or eugenics, through CRISPR-Cas9-technology, and biodigital convergence, the merging of human and machine through artificial intelligence and the internet of the bodies, also called the cyborg approach of human performance enhancement. Genetic manipulation and the merging of humans and machines will render normal people inferior or useless in the eyes of transhumanists. Transhumanism cannot be implemented with basic human rights in place due to the experiments with humans it requires and the huge surveillance potential of its technology. It sounds like science fiction but it is not.
