Shibaozhai, a national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot, a national key cultural relic protection unit, one of the 30 best new tourism landscapes of the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, one of the seven wonders of China on the American Discovery Channel, and one of the eight strange buildings in the world. Shibaozhai is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River in Zhongxian County, Chongqing, known as the "Pearl on the River", 45 kilometers away from the county seat. Here on the riverside, there is a huge stone with a height of more than ten zhang and a lone peak on a steep wall, which is said to be a multicolored stone left by Nuwa Replenishing Heaven, so it is called "Shibao". This stone is shaped like a jade seal, also known as "Jade Seal Mountain". At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Tan Hong rebelled and called himself "King of Wuling", according to which it was a village, from which "Shibaozhai" came from. Shibaozhai was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and was built and perfected during the Kangxi and Qianlong periods. The tower is built on Yuyin Mountain, towering according to the mountain, with flying cornices spreading wings and strange shapes. The whole building consists of a walled gate, a walled body, and an attic (Zhaiding Stone Temple), with a total of 12 floors, a height of 56 meters, and a wooden structure.
