American Robin Baby - This young fledgling just left the nest a few hours before the photo was taken. He didn't even know enough to be afraid of me, although I did use a telephoto lens to keep my distance. You can see the little tuffs of downy feathers still left on his head. At this stage the baby bird would be called a hopper since they cannot fly, yet to old to stay in the nest.
