Alien Pilot Sculpture. The Nanshan Air Force Cemetery in Chongqing is under the peaceful blue sky in a shiny srping day. It is the largest burial ground for the fallen soldiers of the Anti-Japanese Air Force in China so far. Founded in 1938, it was built by the Nationalist government to bury and commemorate the anti-Japanese air force soldiers of China, the United States and the Soviet Union. There are buried Chongqing bombing, Wuhan defense battle, Changsha battle, Bishan air battle etc. 242 anti-Japanese air force heroes died. During the Anti-Japanese War, Japanese invaders ravaged the airspace of Chongqing, and the Chinese Air Force, the Soviet Air Force and the American `Flying Tigers` attacked the Japanese invaders in the air. The war was tragic, and more than 240 air force warriors died heroically. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, in order to bury the Air Force martyrs who died in the Anti-Japanese War, the Nationalist government specially purchased land in Fangniuping, the long house in Nanshan, Chongqing, and set up a cemetery to bury the martyrs, known as the `Air Force Tomb`. The memorial park faces the Yangtze River going east, backed by Nanshan Scenic Area, surrounded by forests, and has a quiet environment. The project opened in 2010. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, some family members of the martyrs came to claim the remains and transported the remains back to their original places or to Nanjing for burial.
