Aerial view of `Opeaka`a Falls, part of the Wailua River State Park in Kauai, Hawaii. This iconic, double waterfall is 40 feet wide and plunges nearly 151 feet into a pool that can`t be readily or safely seen from ground level, although views of the falls themselves are easily accessible. The falls are framed by lush vegetation. `Opaekaa` means `rolling shrimp,`- shrimp were once abundant in the stream.
