The ancient city of Yongtai, now located in Sitan Township, Jingtai County, Gansu Province, was built in the 36th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty 1608, with a history of more than 400 years. It was built by the Ming government to prevent the invasion of ethnic minorities in the north. After completion, it will become a military fortress, and Lanzhou General will be stationed in this castle. At that time, there were more than 2000 soldiers and 500 horsemen stationed in the city, with gunpowder fields, forage yards, mills, horse farms and other institutions attached.
