Yili Black Bees, originally known as Xinjiang black bees, belongs to the family Aphidae, genus Apis, and Western bee species. It is distributed in the northwest of Xinjiang, including the Ili, Tacheng, and Altay regions. The black bee has a large body shape, long snout, black color, strong reproductive ability, weak bee differentiation, cold resistance, disease resistance, and is good at utilizing bulk or sporadic nectar sources. It should be classified as a European black bee. It belongs to one of the world's four great bees.
