Several rail lines cross these tracks and I-35 E was built over the entire switchyard area in this historic rail town on the old Cotton Belt Rail Road Tracks. Short lines deliver and collect rail cars from local industry and bring them to a switch yard where the trains are made up to travel cross county distances.
