In Mèze, shellfish farming activity is mainly concentrated in Mourre Blanc, the largest shellfish port in the Mediterranean. It brings together more than 130 operators (to which must be added around twenty companies based on the Amoutous – Campagne site).It is important to remember that the management of this departmental port, exclusively reserved for shellfish farming, has been entrusted to the City of Mèze. This involves daily monitoring, permanent maintenance and the necessary modernization work so that this equipment allows professionals to exercise their profession in the best conditions.
