A colourfully costumed Mask Dancer performs at the Esala Perahara theatre show in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The Esala Perahera runs every year in late July or early August for ten days, ending on the Nikini poya full moon and is held to honour the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha which is enshrined within the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy.
