Since San Francisco has the oldest and largest Chinese population outside of Asia, it is fitting they also have the largest Chinese New Year parade outside of Asia as well. And being the Year of the Dragon, considered extra prestigious, this years parade was extra special. The 288 ft (87.78 M) dragon required 100 people to carry. This parade includes marching bands from the cities high schools. There were pushcart food venders. And what would be a dragon parade without cardboard dragon hats. With the parade route along Kearny St., the adjacent Grant St. had booths set up from the local merchants. As enjoyed 25 February 2024.
