Opening night at the 2019 Karmiel Dance Festival is a colorful spectacle. The 3-day 33rd annual gathering began on July 2, 2019. The setting is Karmiel, a city in the Galilee in Israel. A rich variety of troupes from all over Israel and several from abroad perform on the main stage before over 15,000 spectators. A wide array of folk, modern and creative dance is on display. At smaller venues singing, and other entertainment for all the family continue well into the wee hours of the night. The people featured here are wheelchair dancers and their dance partners.
