Climbers reach panoramic 360 degree view above Christ`s Valley or Christ`s Saddle, an area near the top of Skellig Michael in Ireland. This valley and surrounding eroded cragged pinnacles have been battered by centuries of relentless wild Atlantic storms. Christ`s Valley, the flattest area on this desolate island, provides a resting place for those climbing the treacherous unprotected staircase to the monastery. Located at the north-eastern summit of the island, this Irish Christian monastery was dedicated to St. Michael between 950 and 1050. The overall layout is believed to be fairly intact. Michael Skellig Monastery can be accessed by boat only between May and September due to winter storms. Near Ring of Kerry. UNESCO World Heritage Sit.
