Wahnfried is a museum since 1976. On the facade you can read »Hier wo mein Wähnen Frieden fand ‒ Wahnfried ‒ sei dieses Haus von mir benannt. Here where my delusions have found peace, let this place be named Wahnfried. In front of the building you can see the statue of Ludwig II king of bavaria.
