The Malay big flying fox is the largest type of bat in the world. The body length is 20-25 cm, the body weight is about 600-1100 grams, and the wing width is up to 183 cm. There are big eyes, longer like the snouts of the canines and long, pointed ears. The lower body is long in hair and has a color ranging from black to tan. The Malay big foxes rely on their sight to find their homes at night. It usually feeds on the fruits of rambutan, fig and lanzarote, and also eats the fruits of nectar and coconut and durian trees. Due to indiscriminate killings, the Malay big foxes in Southeast Asia are facing the danger of extinction. Experts remind people to take measures to protect this rare animal.
