The recognisable peak of Stac Pollaidh, in the north west highlands of Scotland, lies beside the freshwater loch Lurgainn. The weathered peak of Stac Pollaidh, consists of Torridonian sandstone, and is 2000 ft high. It is often anglicised to Stack Polly,and is pronounced as such.
