As you approach Wien center from the Graben you cannot notice the tall dome of this late Baroque church. This is the second oldest church in Vienna and the spot on which stands could be the oldest Christian site. Inspired from St. Peter in Rome the oval structure from today dates back to 18th century although the church itself was built in the 12th century. The design belongs to several architects but the most notable of the authors is Gabriele Montani.
