One of the most elegant sharks that can be seen by divers often near reef and coastal areas is the Silky shark. Its name comes from the bronze grey colouration of the skin. They are frequently associated with bait balls and feeding frenzies and are highly curious by nature although they represent little threat to humans. They will approach swimmers and divers close by in the water.
