A selfie portrait of a middle age man who has just been swimming and is wet. Wearing a swim cap and goggles... I like to swim… The water draws all contrary thoughts from me. My age becomes invisible. Diving down, I have 30 seconds of pure moment. The sand is an underwater prairie blowing grains of sand as the swell passes overhead. Above me a water sky, blue-cyan-azure-cobalt-sapphire-cerulean-indigo envelops me. Blue is everywhere, except for the feeling. Breaking the surface for air with a sense of competence. Bodysurfing eyes closed is like being carried by the hand of God, Mother Earth and the ultimate rollercoaster all at same time. Joy. The surf is a low hum as I walk away, the taste of salt fading.
