A peaceful autumn view of the River Salzach as it winds its way through the historic city of Salzburg, Austria, framed on both sides of its banks by a pedestrian promenade. The historic city is famous as the setting for the movie “Sound of Music”. Pictured on top of the hill in the center of the photograph is the imposing Fortress Hohensalzburg, also known as Castel Salzburg.
