The Queen's birthday is officially celebrated by the Trooping the Colour. Over 1400 officers and men are on parade, together with two hundred horses, four hundred musicians from ten bands and the corps of drums.The music forms an integral part of the day and is provided by the Massed Bands of the Foot Guards, numbering over 200 musicians, and the Mounted Bands of the Household Cavalry. (The total number of musicians approaches 400).
