Film and stage actor Mark Ruffalo arrives on the red carpet for the New York premiere of “The Normal Heart, “ at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City on May 12, 2014. The HBO premium cable tv company produced the drama based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway play of the same name. The setting takes place in New York in the 1980’s during the HIV-AIDS epidemic and deals with sexual politics and gay activists protesting government inaction. Ruffalo plays the role of Ned Weeks in the production.
