A lonely young teen man is looking like he is trying to hide in the crowd but instead is standing out from the crowd at a local rural, country fun fair or carnival. The crowds of people do not notice him but he has a presence and spirit about him that just makes him be noticed. The teenager looks quite alone and lost as if deep in thought, perhaps depressed and reflecting on life and possible wrong decisions in the past and making the right ones in the future. Whatever, this young man has a story to tell ! Often our youth and teens go unnoticed , along with their deep feelings, emotions and depression which is an ever pressing and urgent problem to be addressed. The young years are perhaps some of the most challenging, trying to fit in with the crowd when you are simply standing out from the crowds of people around you. That is why I took this image, there is a story behind the young man , hiding behind his dark sunglasses. I believe that more attention needs to be made to the mental health of our young people as these are the years that will set the direction for the rest of their life. We just do not notice the ones that shine and stand out, for the very reason they are trying to hide and fit in.
