Trondenes Church is the northernmost medieval stone church of Norway and the world`s northernmost surviving medieval building. The church is best known for its rich decorations, including three gothic triptychs. A triptych is a work of art usually a panel painting that is divided into three sections, or three carved panels that are hinged together and can be folded shut or displayed open.
