An Eyelash Viper (also known as an Eyelash Palm Pitviper), Bothriechis schlegelii, sits on a thin branch next to a tree, waiting for a lizard or frog to pass by. The bright red tail can be wiggled to mimic a worm, thus luring prey into striking distance.
