Affectionately called the 'Katong Church', this was the first Roman Catholic Church built along the eastern coastline. Its origins date from 1902, with the first chapel built in 1923. The building was re-built in 1999, while the front sculptures have been retained from the original structure. It remains the sole Catholic Church in Singapore to celebrate Peranakan masses on the eve of every Chinese Lunar New Year.
