Easter eggs are dyed and hand-decorated (usually by scratching patterns using a pin) chicken eggs. In Poland this tradition dates back at least to the end of the 10th century. Currently, Easter eggs are made before Easter and then eaten during the holidays. A girl dressed in a Silesian national dress is decorating an Easter egg.
