This photo depicts a group of children in the Gokwe North area of Zimbabwe. Given the current situation in the country they face a fairly bleak future. Both AIDS and malaria are problematic in the area they live in. Many of them end up as AIDS orphans or find their way to the inner cities of Harare & Bulawayo or even smaller towns, where they become street kids. This in turn leads to a further downward spiral into glue sniffing and prostitution.
