Qila, a Beluga Whale at the Vancouver Aquarium. Qila was the first beluga born in a Canadian facility. Her mother Aurora was the last beluga the Vancouver Aquarium collected from the wild in 1990 before declaring they would only house captive bred or injured marine mammals who could not be re-released. In the wild, belugas are threatened by climate change and pollution.
