This is a Winter picture of the historic Airtight Bridge located in Coles County, Illinois. This bridge was designed by James L. Claire, it is an example of a Pratt Through Bridge, it is a single lane bridge over the Embassass River, it has a steel structure but a wooden plank floor, it was built in 1914. This bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 30, 1981. This picture was taken on March 3, 2018.
