Theodore Island is a small islet off the coast of Crete, near Platanias. The Greek name is Άγιος ΘεόδωÏος. The legend says that once a huge sea monster wanted to swallow the island of Crete. Luckily, it was turned into stone. You can see the monsters mouth. This island is a nature reserve for the Cretan wild goats, kri-kri, or agrimi. Goats breed there, and are provided to zoos all over the world.
