Kajiki, Kagoshima prefecture, Japan, June 15, 2008, A referee watches two St. Andrew's Cross spiders fighting at the Kajiki kumo gassen (spider-fight) held each June in Kajiki, Kagoshima, Japan. Contestants catch and train their spider each year for the one day event. There is a list of rules to decide which spider is the winner. The traditon dates back over 400 years.
