Several large shorebirds, likely a type of sandpiper, walk along the beach, staying out of reach of the surf. There is a sense of mission, but they do not appear to be actively hunting; perhaps they are moving away from people or towards better hunting grounds. This group is along the edge of the Pacific Ocean near San Diego, California.
